Dinner Theater game: Varulvarna från Mjölnardalen

WHAT: JiffyCon is a one day mini role-playing convention. Focusing on small-press, independently published and story-oriented games, JiffyCon is a whole day devoted to nothing but having fun playing games.

Snacks, beverages and a potluck dinner will be provided. Local game designers and authors will be on hand to run and play their games. Many games will be available for sale.

WHEN & WHERE: JiffyCon will take place on Saturday, June 6th, starting 9am at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Greenfield, MA. See directions for information on how to get there and accommodations. See schedule for time of events.

HOW: We'll have morning and afternoon blocks of play devoted to scheduled games. In the evening we'll share a potluck dinner and a live, group game at the hotel. Hanging out and pick-up games are encouraged after hours.

Misspent Youth - Rebels with a cause
Tales of the Fisherman's Wife - The Fisherman and his wife resist the temptations of spirits and demons.
Time & Temp - Adventures through time.
1001 Nights - While away the nights in the Sultan's Court.
Kagematsu - Samurai, love and sacrifice.
Storming the Wizard's Tower - Protecting the Spirits of the Deep.
Montsegur 1244 - Besieged heretic Cathars face a choice between life and faith.
Showdown: the action movie - create an action movie in just 4 hours!
Melt - A terrible evil stalks a Viking settlement.
The Combat Diaries - Creating fiction based on the allied assault on Normandy.
Thunder, Smoke and Steel - A card based rpg of supernatural martial arts.
Heritage: A Game of Descent and Dissent - A family epic played out over 4 generations and 9 scenes.

Board games:
Salah Ad-Din: Rise of a Leader - Gain glory and honor for your kingdom, while fighting off Crusaders.
Touch of Evil - Protect a small Colonial town menaced by a supernatural threat.

We'll have a group dinner at the event site, organized the the JiffyCon Food Committee. Over dinner all are welcome to play a special live version of the game Varulvarna från Mjölnardalen (a version of Werewolves of Miller's Hollow). Potluck offerings are welcome.

The game:
Varulvarna från Mjö lnardalen (Werewolves of Miller's Hollow)
The year is approximately 1100, Sweden, and the villagers of Mjö lnardalen spend the evening in the mead hall, carousing and dancing. When they turn in for the night, some of the villagers transform into nightmarish "varulvar" or werewolves, and one by one, kill the villagers. Can the townsfolk hunt and hang those who are not what they seem before it's too late?
